Aerial view of Pelican Pete's new courtesy dockWhen customers come by boat to eat at Pelican Pete’s, they now have a dedicated courtesy dock for parking. Located closer to the restaurant, the lighted dock has a covered walkway and 21 double slips with side-ties to provide parking for about 50 boats.

“This gives our Pelican Pete’s guests their own parking when they come by water,” said Brent Pearson, operations manager of Port Royale Marina off Browns Bridge Road. “By providing a dedicated courtesy dock, we’re also freeing up space for our dry-stack and gas customers.”

Pelican Pete’s has expanded its menu this season. Its raw bar features oysters on the half shell, shrimp cocktail and peel-and-eat shrimp in half-pound and one-pound options. Entrees include Georgia Peach BBQ Platter, Nana’s Jerk Chicken and Pecan-Crusted Salmon.

Starting Memorial Day weekend, Pelican Pete’s, Lake Lanier’s only floating restaurant, is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.
