Competitors cheer during their race at the 27th annual Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival at Lake Lanier Olympic Park.
The event, which drew some 10,000 attendees in early September, featured some 75 teams from California, to Oklahoma, to New York.
The event is just one example of sports tourism’s impact on Hall County and Lake Lanier.
