Under the pine trees, at a picnic table, one team eats lunch as another team in the background on the lake, rows toward the course.

One team relaxes while another heads toward the course.

The John Ferriss Regatta, held on Lake Lanier March 21st and 22nd, under beautiful skies and warm temperatures, drew 28 clubs from as far away as New York, Florida and Illinois.

The Lake Lanier Rowing Club (LLRC) represented their home course well, with multiple teams entering 13 events (races) according to regattacentral.com.

The event provides competitive rowers a chance for early season racing.
