Bell
Former Deputy Superintendent for the Gainesville City School System Sarah Bell has been named the new executive director for the Elachee Nature Science Center. She began her new position on May 1.
Bell replaces Andrea Timpone who led the nature center for the past 35 years. The board selected Bell after a national search that began in fall 2020.
A long-time resident of Gainesville, Bell began her career as a teacher. She graduated from Gainesville High School, the University of Georgia, Piedmont College and The University of North Georgia.
