2026 Gainesville/Hall Dragon Boat Challenge, Lake Lanier Gainesville/Hall Dragon Boat Challenge is a community race event. 100% of the proceeds of this event goes to LCKC. Teams of 11 paddlers ( 10-person
Gainesville/Hall Dragon Boat Challenge is a community race event. 100% of the proceeds of this event goes to LCKC.
Teams of 11 paddlers ( 10-person + 1 drummer per dragon boat) compete. Businesses, clubs, churches and neighborhoods invited. Entry fee includes a 1.5 hr. practice session the weekend before races with trained steersperson: April 17th (evening), April 18th and 19th (day). All teams will have three, 200 meters races (2 heats and a final).
There is also an exciting distance race for Open and maybe some openings for a few other adventurous teams wanting to take part in racing for + – 2,000 meters.
Date: Saturday, April 25, 2026
Time: 7 am – 3 pm
Location: Lake Lanier Olympic Park, 3105 Clarks Bridge Rd.
