One of the first commitments Virgil Williams made
when his company took over the lease and operations of Lake Lanier
Islands Resorts was to reach out to the local community. He’s doing
just that with a special “Islands Membership Pass” that provides
unlimited gate admission, Beach & WaterPark use, discounts for
restaurants and other amenities and unlimited vehicle admission to
this year’s Magical Nights of Lights.
For the per-person purchase price of $300, guests
will also be able to purchase gas at the Harbor Landing fuel docks
for $1 per gallon off the listed pump price.
“The local community is very important to Lake Lanier
Islands,” said Katy McLaughlin, marketing manager at the 1,100-acre
resort. “There is so much going on as we expand the resort, this is
a great way for the community to vacation close to home, enjoy the
resort, save money and see first-hand all the improvements that are
being made.”
 The
pass, which is good through the end of 2008, offers unlimited gate
access to the resort; unlimited access to the Beach & WaterPark for
the duration of the 2008 season; 15 percent off golf rounds at
PineIsle Golf Club; 15 percent off boat rentals from Harbor Landing;
15 percent off services from Tranquility – The Spa; 10 percent off
total purchase from all Islands food outlets – BullFrogs Bar &
Grille, Windows Restaurant, Tiki Hut and Fairways Grill at PineIsle
Golf Club; 15 percent off accommodations at Legacy Lodge &
Conference Center, including the new Legacy Villas and LakeHouses at
Legacy; plus unlimited Magical Nights of Lights vehicle access
during the holidays, which is scheduled for November 22 through
December 30.
The resort is Georgia’s most-visited lakeside resort
destination. The 1,100-acre resort provides a variety of amenities
and services. Legacy Lodge & Conference Center, six executive
lakeside Legacy Villas, 30 lakeside cottages, golf, scenic horseback
riding, spa services, monthly wine tasting dinners, campsites and
