Chestatee blends golf/lake lifestyle with mountain views

Chestatee off Ga. 400, a golf
community on Lake Lanier, has just begun building homes in Linkside,
the 550-acre development’s 12th distinctive neighborhood. Located on
the eighth and ninth fairways of the Chestatee Golf Club, Linkside
will offer 46 homes on wooded lots. Three builders – Chris Spencer
Homes, Craig Alan Homes and Matheson Custom Homes – offer
distinctive designs suited to the setting.
“Chestatee is a golf-oriented
community with lake access,” said Greg Martin, president and
managing broker for ERA Sunrise Realty, the exclusive sales and
marketing organization for Chestatee. “With all of the amenities,
including our championship golf course and marina, Chestatee has a
great deal to offer.”
The community is filled with
resort-style amenities that attract families, professionals, retired
people, empty nesters and singles, including the 18-hole
championship golf course designed by Denis Griffiths, a Junior
Olympic swimming pool, kid’s pool and play area, Nightfire Lodge,
lake pavilion, hiking/biking trails, community square with
bandstand, Heron Grill, half-court basketball court, croquet court,
and lighted tennis courts. Homeowners can keep their boats in the
private 160-slip marina.
“The appeal of lakeside living
adds to the exclusivity of a golf community,” said developer Brian
Ferris with Chestatee Development Corp. “Having access to boat slips
is a huge appeal, because Lake Lanier is one of the most
sought-after locations in the Southeast.”
In addition to the wealth of
amenities, Chestatee features a unique style of architecture. Homes
are built in the Craftsmen style, like 1920s and 1930s Cape Cod
design, inspired by turn-of -the-century architectural styles found
in the South and along the East Coast. Lanes, sidewalks, and
landscaped common areas only encourage the hospitality and community
spirit in this quaint southern village.
Chestatee currently has four
communities with homes for sale:

The Greens, built by Chris Spencer Homes, consists of 34 homes
situated on a hill overlooking the fourth, eighth and ninth fairways
of Chestatee golf links.
• Haven Ridge by Haven
Properties is bordered by the golf course’s third, fourth and fifth
fairways, and the natural landscape of the North Georgia mountains
is visible in the distance.
• With nine exclusive home
sites, the Peninsula neighborhood is surrounded by the waters of
Lanier and includes both lake and mountain views.
• The Point at Chestatee offers
views of Lanier and the golf course. A limited number of homes are
still available, but The Point is almost sold out.
Chestatee currently has three
designer-decorated homes for sale that are open for viewing through
the on-site sales office, which is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Monday through Saturday and 1 to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
