and you feed him for a lifetime.” When Richard Morton was contracted
by Clemson University to create and teach a course about fishing, he
agreed to feed people for a lifetime.

Springboard Regatta
rocked by bad weather
After
Western Carolina Sailing Club’s Frostbite Regatta was called off New
Year’s Day due to excessive winds, organizers of the next event were
determined to pull it off, no matter the weather. So, despite
gathering storm clouds, 39 crews prepared to set off in the

SwimEze makes getting
out of the water a breeze
Jumping
into the water from Jerry Schmid’s dock was easy enough. It was
climbing back out that proved challenging. When Schmid realized his
granddaughter didn’t want to jump into Lake Keowee because she
couldn’t get out again, an idea began to form. The result is SwimEze,
a portion of his dock that now transforms into a set of stairs
leading into the water.
